James E Dutton (Jim) has more than 25 years Executive Business and Leadership experience in the Roanoke Valley.  Since joining Valley Financial Solutions, Inc., Jim has successfully completed all requirements for his Life, Health, and Annuities Licenses (currently licensed in six states) and maintains FINRA Series 6 and 63 Securities Licenses. His primary focus is on Retirement Planning and helping structure Retirement Income tactics to meet the specific income needs of his clients.  He also concentrates on Estate Conservation Strategies, including the appropriate use of Life Insurance and Long Term Care Insurance.  Jim recently received his CLTC certification (Certified in Long Term Care).

Jim grew up in Washington County, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech with BS and MS Degrees. Jim resides in beautiful Botetourt County with his wife Maggie.  They have two children, Mike and Debbie, and three grandchildren.
