William R. Terry II (Bill) is president of Valley Financial Solutions Inc. in Roanoke, Virginia.  Bill is a native of Roanoke and a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Virginia Military Institute.  His financial practice focuses on a consultative approach in order to help individuals and business owners make sound decisions with their money.

Bill’s primary emphasis is on helping his clients protect their families and their businesses from the financial pitfalls of death, disability, the cost of long term healthcare, and the financial impacts of estate and transfer taxes.  With the strength of his reliable team behind him, Bill assists clients with savings, retirement objectives, charitable giving strategies, and multi-generational wealth transfer goals.

Bill began his career in 1994 with John Hancock Financial Network in the Roanoke office.  He has a successful history of working with and developing financial advisors for his firm.  He helped manage the John Hancock Roanoke Office prior to helping manage the John Hancock Atlanta Office in Atlanta, Georgia from 2003 to 2008 before returning home to Roanoke.  He has served as president of Valley Financial Solutions Inc. since 2009 and is dedicated to cultivating and growing the firm’s positive image throughout the Roanoke, New River, and Shenandoah Valleys. 

Bill is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and recognized as both a Qualifying and Life member of the International Million Dollar Round Table.

Bill resides in Roanoke with his wife Amy of 18 years and their daughter Maddie.
