William R. Terry, II, AIF®
Investment Advisor Representative
My mission is to deliver extraordinary solutions to your unique financial needs through a breadth of knowledge, attention to detail, and independent ideas.
William R. Terry II (Bill) is president of Valley Financial Solutions. The native Roanoker is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Virginia Military Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in English. He has always played sports and was a 4 year Varsity letterman on the VMI baseball team.
Bill’s practice is focused on taking a consultative approach to help business owners and individuals make prudent decisions to achieve good financial health. His primary focus is in helping clients protect their families and businesses from the financial pitfalls of death, disability, the cost of long-term health care, and the financial impact of estate and transfer taxes. He also assists clients with their savings, retirement objectives, charitable giving strategies, and multi-generational wealth transfer goals.
Bill began his career with John Hancock in 1994 right out of college. He’s enjoyed a successful history of working with and developing advisors in addition to his personal client practice. Bill helped manage the John Hancock firm in Atlanta prior to returning to his native Roanoke and Valley Financial Solutions. He and Steve Stilwell are dedicated to growing the firm’s positive image throughout the region.
Bill is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and has been recognized as a qualifying and Life member of the International Million Dollar Round Table.
Bill resides in Roanoke with his wife Amy and their daughter Madeline. He enjoys playing golf, travelling, and attending Virginia Tech athletic events.
Qualifying membership in the MDRT Court of the Table is based on minimum sales production requirements and gross business generated within a year. Each MDRT status designation is granted for one year only. All members must apply every year and remit the required Court of the Table dues to continue their affiliation with the Million Dollar Round Table. Third-party rankings and recognitions are no guarantee of future investment success and do not ensure that a client or prospective client will experience a higher level of performance or results. These ratings should not be construed as an endorsement of the advisor by any client nor are they representative of any one client’s evaluation.
